GRANDFATHER PROTECTION

“Grandfather Protection” means Restaurants can remain open and will not be required code compliance updates.

Restaurants under “Grandfather Protection” can not be remodeled changing the floor plan.
Front Entrance must have a Ramp, if steps are visible.
Restrooms, Serving Counter, 1 Dining Table must be brought up to ADA American Disability Act compliance.
The absent Grease Trap under the 3 compartment sink or inground or Grease Interceptor will need to be installed.
The Restaurant can not be closed with the Health Department for over a 90 day period or the “Grandfather Protection” can and will automatically expire,
